It seems as if the Fifa World Cup, opening on the 12th of June 2014has even reached the interest of the Soul and RnB legend that is Stevie Wonder.
His hit song known as "Another Star"is to be used by the BBC ORGANISATION (London, England)as its theme song for their coverage of the Fifa World Cup finals that are too staged in Brazil.
The song does feature an infectious Latin vibe running throughout its composition, and the thought is to be perfect for the BBC ORGANISATION (London, England) to be used for its opening sequence for all of its World Cup programming of the event.
Apparently, this is the first time that Stevie Wonderhas given his approval of any of his songs to be used for such an event.
The Fifa World Cup will be hosting 32 teams to be played in this football tournament which is now the World's most-watched sporting event; even more than the OLYMPICS.
The song that is to be used is called "Another Star" which comes from the album called "Songs from the Key of Life" which was released in 1976 by Motown Records.
The album won 4 x Grammys including the title that is "Album of the Year". This was to be Stevie Wonder's 18th Album to be released by him and became one of his most famous albums ever released.
This double album release has on it tracks like - "Sir Duke", "I Wish, "Isn’t She Lovely", "As" and "Another Star".
Rumour has it, that prior to completing Songs in the Key of Life. Stevie Wonder’s contract with Motown was up and, according to label boss Berry Gordy; it took $13 million of his company’s money to make him sign a new one.
Even before that, it was noted that Stevie was seriously getting disillusioned with the Music Industry and was considering leaving the industry altogether and going and helping handicapped children within Ghana.
Good job he didn't because he went on to produce and released a masterpiece which was the "Songs of the Key of Life" album.
This was to be the last of the 5 albums made by Stevie Wonder that are often considered to be his classic period of album making.
These albums were all made when he was in his 20s, and all finished before he touched 30 years of age. This classic period we are about is from 1972 to 1976. The albums in question that he released were/are:

Ian Finch, Senior Producer BBC Sport, and the man behind the music say:
'This song perfectly captures the feel-good, carnival atmosphere we will bring to our viewers during the World Cup this summer. It is very rare for an artist of this stature to approve the use of their music in this way, so we are thrilled and honoured to have the opportunity.'
The World Cup is live on BBC TV, radio, and online from 12 June to 13 July 2014.
